Over a number of months in 2013 I have been researching data exposure risks through employees, sub-contractors and other parties leaking information online due to the insecure configurations of their storage devices. I found petabytes of data affecting thousands of organisations from almost all sectors and industries. All of which are identifiable and can be located though open source tools and web services that are themselves freely available to all members of the public.
